autumn adventures
this weekend, amid lots of studying, i managed to sneak in the perfect break: a few of us drove up to a haunted corn maze and had a delightfully spooky time getting away from the bright city lights!
i can’t believe it’s monday again. but this week will be low-key and focused so that i can make it through the GRE and be ready to celebrate halloween!!

i’m feeling a little nervous about the half marathon early tomorrow morning and i can’t seem to settle my mind and go to bed.
one thing is for sure: 13 miles of running tomorrow means plenty of time to think!

lucky me
when i signed up for the 5mile sunset run at the last minute, i had no idea what i was doing. it was a whim, and i thought it would be a healthy, fun activity for my thursday.
not only was it a fantastic experience with tons of enthusiastic runners sharing in the foggy beauty of an evening run along the marina, but…
i won an entry to the nike women’s half marathon!!

honestly,
the transition to work has been pretty difficult. i want to do well, to make this experience worthwhile and rewarding—but it’s a challenge, for sure.
and yet, living in a new city is slowly falling into place. it’s amazing how many people emerge to reach out to this new San Francisco resident—i am grateful for each one.
